    Default Werid Gmail issue

    I can send emails to gmail.. but i cant send any .zip attachments i am getting this error message:

    "host gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com[209.85.133.114]
    said: 552 5.7.0 Illegal Attachment c9si10969812ana.35 (in reply to end of
    DATA command)"

    i am lost at that..

    Is there an .exe anywhere in the zip?

    Because gmail doesn't accept exe (and I think they don't accept dll, ocx, com, & bat) attachments even if they are sent in a zipped (.zip, .tar, .tgz, .taz, .z, .gz) format; they used to block encrypted/password protected as well, though I think the .rar format is still allowed.

    I can verify that the .rar format allows you to send .exe files through GMail (at least it has always worked for me...)

    WinRAR archiver is the main program for this format, however it isn't a fully free program. I'm sure that there are other programs that provide support for this format as well if you want to look into it.

    .7z available for free from 7-Zip is another alternative that you might look into.
