mdb, just curious if you're still on 5.0.1 or have you since updated to 5.0.2 or the current 5.0.4?
    5.0.4 is live!

I am still on 5.0.1, though I intend to upgrade in the near future. I will report back any successes or failures :-)

Did you ever clean your Browser cache?

sorry, i did not want to offend you with this simple question, but sometimes this helps

After upgrading from 4.5.x to 5.0.2 several people with firefox reported the same behavior to me, and after cleaning the browser cache, or a simple reload (ctrl r) it works.

Thanks for the suggestion, and no harm in trying something simple - unfortunately this doesn't correct the problem I am having.

    cheers

This issue is still ongoing and I am getting reasonably dissatisfied with the support I am getting, so I've started trying to troubleshoot by myself some more.

I've noticed that when I run openssl s_client -showcerts -connect mx.trinity.edu.au:443 I get a verify error as follows:

    Code:
    CONNECTED(00000003)
    depth=2 /C=SE/O=AddTrust AB/OU=AddTrust External TTP Network/CN=AddTrust External CA Root
verify error:num=19:self signed certificate in certificate chain
    verify return:0
If someone else is running Zimbra on port 443 with an external certificate, can you try the same command and tell me if you're also getting this error?

I'm wondering if something in my certificate setup is bad (we should be running entirely on an external ssl cert, not self-signed) and Firefox 2.x is not liking it for some reason.

I guess the gentleman in Zimbra support who has my case can wait a little longer as Firefox 3.0 beta 5 doesn't have any issues connecting, and by the time I get some assistance, it may have been released.

(Don't get me wrong - I really like Zimbra, I'm just pretty appalled that 3+ months after logging this case, I'm being asked for answers to questions that were answered in my original problem description when the case was logged. As someone who worked as a tier 3 technical support person for a large company who specialised in multiplatform Internet server technology solutions, I know that I'd never have let a support ticket flounder like this).

Just wanted to note we upgraded from 4.5.11 to 5.0.8 and are experiencing the same "white page" issue referenced earlier in the thread.

After the upgrade using Firefox2, attempting to login takes 30 seconds or so, followed by a solid white page. Status Bar display's "done".

We tested IE7, Safari and Firefox3 - All displayed mailbox data correctly upon login. After the upgrade we had to scramble to upgrade everyone to Firefox3.

Interestingly, the Admin is also not working in Safari.

I should have posted to this thread a long time ago, just to follow up - the problems we experienced never had their root cause unveiled, but the issue did get resolved when we upgraded from Zimbra 5.0.1 to 5.0.6.
