Default zcs 5.0.1 on os x client - not working

I'm trying to install zcs on os x client 10.4.11 and I keep getting errors like:

ERROR: service.FAILURE (system failure: getDirectContext) (cause: javax.naming.CommunicationException localhost:389)

I've tried a few things in this list, but to no avail.

I've looked in the docs. I can't find anything as to why this shouldn't work.

thx

I just tried reinstalling after doing -u (to uninstall):

This is the error I initially get:

Adding ---host--- to zimbraMailHostPool in default COS...ERROR: service.FAILURE (system failure: getDirectContext) (cause: javax.naming.CommunicationException localhost:389)

this is with the opensource edition

thx

I found this in the log:

Checking for deprecated zimlets...
Getting local config zimbra_ldap_password
Unable to contact ldap://host:389: Invalid argument
failed.

I also found this:

Adding hostname to zimbraMailHostPool in default COS...
usage: modifyCos(mc) {name|id} [attr1 value1 [attr2 value2...]]

zmprov [args] [cmd] [cmd-args ...]

-h/--help display usage

...

zmprov is used for provisioning. Try:

zmprov help account help on account-related commands
zmprov help calendar help on calendar resource-related commands

....

done.
-------------------

Which is where I have seen the first error for this - when adding the server to the COS.
