    Thumbs down Upgrading to 5.0.1

So in the middle of upgrading to 5.0.1, all seemed to go well, however

I can't load the admin site
I can't send email (either via webmail or email client)
IM (I recognise this is beta) isn't working.

    This is an upgrade ?

Waiting for support to phone me back.

    Greetings...

What is the output of zmcontrol status? Also, anything odd in the zimbra.log?

zmcontrol status shows everything running just fine.

Support are working on it at the moment, seems to be a cert issue, if I find out more I'll post

    Angry

    Rubbish release.

I don't expect to have to spend over 8 hours working on a mail server for a point release.

    Everything working fine under 5.0.0

Under 5.0.1 it looks like the reason my mail server wasn't working was a result of this:
    Cert Problem
The admin interface also doesn't seem to be working at all on my mac (firefox or safari) and is partially working under IE
The (beta) IM Server is no longer accepting connections from external IM clients (so Adium / Pidgin et al)

And all this from a "security" release, also I'm not impressed with the Yahoo search appearing in all skins as a "mistake" either.

Zimbra is a good product, until last night I was glad we'd migrated to it, but now I'm starting to question the decision I made and sold to my company.

Surely these are simple problems that should've been picked up in testing.

Hopefully support is still working on my ticket (thanks guys) and will fix it shortly. Wouldn't want to be those guys over the next few days.

If I still had a working 5.0.0 server I wouldn't be upgrading any time soon

Upgraded from 4.5.9 to 5.0.1 yesterday morning. (Wrongly) Assumed everything was ok as upgrade went smoothly and could login fine, tweak settings etc.

Then checked 30 mins ago, no mail. Tried to send a test to my hotmail acc., wouldn't go. After checking everything, came across this post, followed the cert commands and is now working.

Agree, bit of a step backwards in going forwards, but if these (and the yahoo bar) can be fixed in the next few days, a nice fix release will ease my fears.

I'm only using the OSS version, so should expect the odd niggle I suppose.

Can someone post their logs, zmcontrol status, or something?

We're here to help, but can't help you if you only say, "It doesn't work."

Support had full SSH access to the box I and when I put my initial support request in I referenced this post. I'll PM you the case number so you can link it all together and look into it.

I'll be following the instructions later to re-install my cert just couldn't face doing it at 0330 Sunday morning after telling my wife I was just doing a "quick" mail server upgrade....
