| | | For those who need to know how: If you're on 5.0 you can > new cal > on the network > caldav > http://server.domain.com/dav/username/Calendar
I can move in both zclient or tb just fine at any point - no issues there as far as I can tell - delete I have to occasionally edit item > options > status canceled

| | | Well, since the general feeling I've gotten around the web is that CalDAV is the way to go, I'd like to know whether MacandMen can reproduce this issue on CalDAV as well as iCal, which I assume he's using now.
I just did a couple tests on my system--Tbird 2.0.0.9 and Lightning 0.7 with ZCS FOSS 4.5.10. In both task and event cases I was unable to delete items by right-clicking and choosing "Delete," but in both cases going into the edit window and cancelling wiped out either one. I can't test CalDAV till I have time to upgrade to 5.x which I hope to do soon.
However, presuming that other users continue to find CalDAV to work, and work better, than iCal, I am wondering if there even is a compelling reason to debug iCal or if it should just be deprecated in favor of CD. . .thoughts? |

| | | Okay, I'm trying out Lightning connecting to the CalDAV. (ZCS5.0) It seems to work fine, creating events in tbird/zcs, editing them in both, and deleting. I am able to delete items by simply deleting them now.
I simply hadn't changed my Tbird settings, and I didn't know the DAV URL without looking it up.
Which means the wiki page can be updated to reflect. |

| | | Tasks? I used to be able to create Tasks in Lighting (although deleting them took some doing), however, since upgrading to v5.0.1, I can't create tasks at all. They are enabled within Zimbra, and I am using the CalDAV connection. I can create Tasks within Zimbra, but they never show up in Lighting.
Anyone else having a similar issue?

| | | I'm able to create tasks from Tbird, but only if I use the ICS connection. Trying to create a task in Tbird over the DAV connection doesn't do anything at all.
Then, only tasks that I've created show up in Tbird. Any tasks made from the ajax client don't show up at all. (ics or dav)
edit.. this may be related to Tasks not syncing with windows mobile 6 NE 5.0.1 - just guessing here. |

| | | Webdav seems to work great (first time i'm able to use calendar with zimbra and TB).
With Tasks i get nothing(creating new, nothing happens).
Same problem with my nokia E70.
Does anyone have working solution with zimbra 5.0.2 and Lightning tasks? |

| | | Hi all!
We were facing problems using Thunderbird/Lightning/Sunbird with Calendar acessed via iCal interface. After the login on Lightning to acess calendar, CPU usage went 100% and increasing memory usage (over 300MB!)
After re-configure Lightning to acess via CalDAV, the software works fine. |

| | | Thats great news!
I was wrestling with this problem long time, finally it is usable againt!
I will soon post solution how to fix broken calendar!
Why this occurs is described: Zimbra 4.5.7+High CPU usage with Thunderbird+Lightning.
I'm really disappointed that zimbra team hasn't found any user friendly solution for this problem
It doesn't only occur with thunderbird but with mac also!!
I really hope post one almost user friendly solution.
Back to this topic, if anyone got tasks working with lightning share your experience! |

| | to re-iterate the problem and show that we are here wanting this feature, I am having the same problem. I found a temp work around. I create a local calendar and associate all tast with that. THis is my personal todo list of things. However if I want to look at my tasks list else where i can't. A fix would be great. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | Why Join?
