Default Problem with antivirus...and more. Help needed

    Hello all.

I have a problem in my Zimbra installation. The version is 4.5.6.
All work finely since the messages are queing like a deferred and don't send and receive, due to an antivirus bad function.

I had follow all the threads that I can see about the problem, but my problems are increased.

I modified the param "interval" in the /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmmtaconfig file, but don't solve it.

Then the last I made, it's to upgrade the same version that I've installed, but when I tried start zimbra, some errors appears. The errors are the type og permissions to start services.

    The situation is the next:
I have a backup of /opf/zimbra with the users accounts and configurations, but I don't know hot to restore it.

I've probed uninstall, install and then copy the backup, but doesn't work.

    Any suggestion?
    Thanks in advance.

    Default Upgrade to 5.0

Have you considered an upgrade to 5.0? For me, it runs much faster, and there are lost of new features. I fought antivirus issues several months ago, and the thing that ultimately fixed the problem for me was updating to a newer 5.0 beta.

    Thanks for your reply.

Effectively I upgrade to 5.0, but I not be able to make Zimbra start.
When I start the service, the first error that appears is some like the database is not the same and it can't start the mailbox service.

It's very strange behaviour but I don't see nothing in the threads.

    I'm sorry jholder.
I've downgrade to the 4.5.6 and disabling the antivirus I can solve temporarily the problem (Can't connect to INET socket 127.0.0.1:3310: refused) and I don't save the error message of 5.0 version.

At least the users can send and receive messages.

Now, to make more test to upgrade to version 5.0 and see the error message I need to wait to the night when users don't use the service.

    Thanks very much.
