AJAX Zimbra 5.0 GA Debian install - Slow loads

Seems ajax in the new version of Zimbra is very very slow over a 128kb adsl connection. I host a mail server but my upline is only 128kb. Internal network Zimbra works fine.

There were no issues with the last version of Zimbra, ajax worked fine over this line speed. Error message attached.

The HTML works fine just the AJAX client does not work.

Browser used Firefox 2.0.0.11 (error attached) and similar error with internet explorer (fails to load).

5.0 is very different. Iy you have a slower connection, I might suggest you use the standard client.

I have a similar problem.
My zimba 5.0.2 runs on debian etch (just updated from 4.5.8 -> 4.5.11 -> 5.0.2).

The ajax client works fine with firefox but it is unusable with explorer 6.
I mean really unusable: after the login you have to wait for 40+ sec, then there is a warning of slow connection and finally after 60+ sec from login you (think) have the control. every operation needs the same time of about 60 sec.

The test machine is connected to the same switch al 100 MB and has enough power (dual processor with 2 G RAM); the OS is windows 2000
Firefox on the same machine is really fast.

If change the OS of the same machine to XP Professionale then explorer 6 is slow but usable.

I know this may not be the response you want, but: Dont use IE6 then.

If it's working ok with FF then the capability of the computer should be counted as ok, it could be a plugin in IE6 or some random incompatibility somewhere, but if it works in FF, why even bother debugging it?

You could install IE7, or better still IE8 beta, they may work better for you?

I do use FF but I have 350+ users on my network and everyone has the preferred browser.
If possible I leave the choice to the user.
Switched to zimbra august 2007 and have had no problems with zimbra 4.5.8 and many users are enthusiast of zimbra.
After the upgrade some of them (OS windows 2000 and IE 6) can't use the ajax client and I would like to help without asking to upgrade/change OS and/or browser.
