Default Non-disruptive upgrade/downgrade using a simple upgrade key/ RFE 23392

Hello,

we would appreciate a Non-disruptive upgrade/downgrade possibility (from the NetworkEdition/NE to the OSS-version of ZCS and back to NE) using a simple upgrade key :-)

Please vote for Bug 23392 - Non-disruptive upgrade/downgrade using a simple upgrade key/

Thank's a lot!

Martin

Can you elaborate on what you are trying to accomplish? I'm having a hard time understanding the use case for going from NE -> FOSS -> NE?

In general we support upgrades between the same or later versions of ZCS irregardless of FOSS or Network editions. You obviously would need a valid license when installing the Network edition, regardless of the which version you are starting from.

Downgrades (in the numerical version sense) are generally not possible because of database schema changes are generally not reversible.
