Default One GAL for multiple domains - need clarification

I have read the various posts on how to allow a single GAL for multiple domains but I need to make sure either that I am correct in thinking that if I were to set the GAL search base to root, then it would include ALL of the domains that the server is hosting? In my case, I have about 14 domains hosted on my server however I need a shared GAL for only two of them. I do not want, nor can I, share the other domains GALs with this set.

Sorry if this seems really basic but I need to confirm that either this is correct or not before I do anything.

zimbraGalInternalSearchBase ROOT is not what you want then, see this thread: [SOLVED] Autocompletion of new domain addresses in GAL

Great! I couldn't find that one while searching. Thank you for the help and I will try this later today. A customer wanted to move 10 or so addresses off their main domain to a second domain as its now being broken out as a seperate company. However they want aliases from the old to the new AND still have full GAL access. This should solve that problem!
