Default Change backup destination (network edition)

I have a Zimbra 4.5 network edition installation.

I would like to change the backup destination from /opt/zimbra/backup to something else.

The wiki and document explains how to delete and create new backup jobs? Is it as simple as removing the old jobs, creating new ones pointing to the new backup destination, and then moving all the current backup files over? (I would like to keep the existing backups intact and ready for restore)

...or is there another method?

...will i run into issues by moving the old backup files?

You can move them & you can create a symlink /opt/zimbra/backup> /mnt/backup if you so desire.
Or if you're on 4.5.6+ go to admin console > global settings > backup tab > default backup target
Where you can easily set:
zimbraBackupTarget
zimbraBackupReportEmailSubjectPrefix
zimbraBackupReportEmailSender
zimbraBackupReportEmailRecipients

Do be aware of the now fixed Bug 21753 - ldap backup not kept with rest of backup
(Which is why you might want to create that symlink anyways even after changing the default backup target.)

great - thanks. I'm not using 4.5.6 yet so i'll stick to a symlink instead of actually changing the destination

Sound's good,
What version are you on for this production box?
