    Exclamation zimbra message store structure

    /opt/zimbra/store/{hash}/{mailbox-id}/msg/{hash}/{item}.msg

    in /msg/hash/{item}.msg
could be multiple hashed for the same mailbox?, I mean can the mailbox have
    /msg/0/{item}.msg
    /msg/1/{item}.msg and so in.
and in which case could this happen?

You mean can there be a number of folders after the mailboxid/msg/ ?
I have three folders 0 1 2 for my mailbox. Some people with huge mailboxes have 40
I think it only keeps a certain number of messages perfolder and then makes another one. But some people have 3 or 4 folders without many messages in each one so im not sure really

i have already read those articles but what i noticed in my case is that my mailbox id is 20 and has the the following store directory structure
    /20/msg/0
    /20/msg/1
    and so on till
    /20/msg/6

so i still don't know why the /msg folder has 6 folders.

The first N messages get put in /0, the next N go in /1, etc. Some filesystems don't do well with large numbers of files in a directory, and this is a workaround.
