Default Live backup with Network version: can the users continue to work?

Hello,

1.
Can the users still work during a live backup (of the Network version)?

Thank's a lot for your tips.

John

Yes. For a couple minutes when their mailbox is in maintainence mode they'll get an error talking to the server. For Outlook, POP, IMAP users there are no issues as all the mail is already sync'd local. For WebUI users they'll see a brief stop but for most accounts it's only a minute or two.

We are contemplating about using Atempo's TIMEnavigator or Tivoli/TSM
as backup product.

1.
Were is Zimbra going to store the saved "mailfiles"?

Thank's for your feedback.

When you run the backups you put the directory of where you want the backups to go.
