    Default Remote site active-active cluster

    Hi,
I was asked if any linux mail server could be configured in HA configuration, but with one server in one office and the other in a remote site (i.e. far away, communicated by the internet). The servers would have about 100 normal, office users.

I thought about a couple of solutions:
    * drdb won't work because a split brain situation would be hard to manage.
    * cyrus imapd + imapsync may work, but I suspect that imapsync is just too slow to run it live.
    * mswatch + maildir seems to be the best solution

But as being linux-based doesn't mean it has to be free (as in beer), and given its impressive features, does anybody knows if Zimbra can do this?

    Thanks in advance,
    -- Diego.

    Welcome to the forums.

Not exactly HA but a backup server, you could have a look at this solution.

Thanks for answering so quickly! Sadly, one of the requirements is that both servers should be able to receive mail and sync to each other. So it is more a two-way syncronization.

I don't even know if those are the right words to describe it!

    Thank again,
    -- Diego.
