Don't Learn to Hack - Hack to Learn!
I upgraded from 4.5.9 to 4.5.10 yesterday without incident.
Always backup prior to upgrade!
I'm currently running Release 4.5.6_GA_1023.RHEL4_64_20070627170359 RHEL4_64 NETWORK edition.
Is it safe to perform the upgrade from 4.5.6 to 4.5.10?
During the 4.5.5 -> 4.5.6 upgrade, the application server stopped working and I ended up contacting emergency support. It was a known problem with an easy fix.
Are there any problems like this with the 4.5.10 upgrade?
I saw this link called " Upgraded to 4.5.10 now all accounts locked out", but it sounds it could be a memory problem.
Thanks for any advice,
DMG
The link you've quoted is a memory problem. You should take a full backup of your system (as everyone should) and do the upgrade.

Bill
Thank you for the quick response. I completed a full backup from the Backup and Restore documentation.
[zimbra@mail ~]$ zmbackup -a all -f
full-20071125.204228.864
On another note, a symlink (backup -> /zimbra_backup/backup/) has been created from to send backups to a different internal drive.
Will this have any impact on the update?
Thanks,
David
I don't believe it should make any difference but, obviously, make sure it's still pointing to the same location after the upgrade.

Bill
I stopped the Zimbra services using zmcontrol stop and started the installation as root.
The install seemed to start OK, but I got this error:
Checking for a recent backup
WARNING: Unable to find a system backup started within the last
24hrs. It is recommended to perform a full system backup and
copy it to a safe location prior to performing an upgrade.
Do you wish to continue without a backup? [N]
I just performed a backup before running the installer. Should I change the way the backup is performed, or am I ok to go forward with this?
Thanks for all the help.
