Default Can You Clarify What Perdition Actually Is?

If we are using IMAP services, can we then assume we're using Perdition? Or is Perdition used for something else when accessing the IMAP server? In other words, is there an IMAP server at all in Zimbra, or does Perdition provide that functionality?

Hi Deckard-
Perdition is not the same thing as the IMAP server. Perdition is an IMAP/POP3 proxy. You run it on the server that's exposed to the internet, and it sends the requests to the *real* IMAP server.

In general, only installs that have multi-node setups use perdition.
