hourly backup of the mailfiles

Hello,

we intend to backup the "mailfiles" every hour. Since the entire message
can be found disk, we would prefer to have our "inhouse" backupsoftware
done that job.

Should we simply run an incremental-backup job every our? Are the "mailfiles"
locked in some way?


Any tips - I am pretty sure there are better approaches
available - are appreciated very much. Thank you!

There is this thread about backing-up the OSS version of Zimbra although I don't know how useful it would be for you.
