Hi John,

Thanks for the reply.

My school's domain greenwayschool.co.uk is hosted externally with a hosting co.

With the Zimbra box currently all I am trying to do is retrieve the pop3 email from the external mail server and deliver it to my zimbra box which is currently on my home dsl connection.

Once running correctly I will move it to my school where we will use it for school email and calendering.

There is more info going back through the post.

Thanks for your interest.

Matthew

Ok Folks,

I have now completed the reinstall.

I think(?!) that I have everything configured correctly.

However obviously not as I can still not receive between zimbra users or from an external email. I can however send ok.

Before I start messing things up again is there a kind soul that could point me in the right direction to get my fetchmail scenario working.

I have spent much time searching the forums but it is a bit tricky when you don't quite know what to look for in order to solve your problem.

Regards,

Matthew

where's the mx record for your domain point to? check /var/log/zimbra.log for errors.

OK,

Still working on the server as and when I get chance.

I think that fetchmail is not working correctly and fetching mail!

I will come back here when I can confirm that FM is working ok.

Time for a google me thinks.
