Wink

If you have a working system, I would try this:

copy your /opt/zimbra to the new 64 bit platform.

then run an upgrade using the latest 64 bit version on the new system - again with the -s option (./install -s)

good luck

Ah, the missing link comes out

When you change architectures, you need to dump ldap and reimport it using slapcat. Check out the blog powertip for more.

-marking as solved

his logger wasn't stopping correctly
zmcontrol stop
ps aux | grep zimbra
tons of left over logger stuff
after a good backup-clean upgrade to 4.5.9 (though I did hold my breath at one point)
all looks good
turned on AV
mail delivery works fine
made another backup

Max you should seriously consider the NE versions for hot backups!
cheers

of course, in a week or so if you're still having trouble with statics showing up in the admin console make a new thread - but the upgrade is completed fine
