Or is this a legitimate cause to file a bug? Whatever it is, it's a pain!
I discovered the same thing.... :-/

If an upgrade changes fundamental settings for your system without asking, I would definitely consider it as a bug. Especially since it also triggers the daily reports to not function correctly.

Just to close this thread for others who may be reading it; this bug is not going to be fixed in 4.x releases , but has been fixed for 5.x. Therefore, if your admin address is not in the form admin@fqdn, you need to be aware that for every 4.x update you run from now until you upgrade to 5.x, you will need to fix your admin address following the upgrade. You can do this, as noted above, by running this command as Zimbra user:
    Code:
    zmlocalconfig -e smtp_destination=admin@domain.com
Without running this command, you won't get your daily mail reports, and your log will have bounce errors for the reports it tried--and failed--to send.

So that's why my logs stopped coming to me

    If I run
    zmlocalconfig | grep mydomain
    I see av_notify_user, smtp_destination and smtp_source are changed to admin@FQDN.

Looks like we have to check those three each upgrade.

You could simply add an alias for those addresses to the user (or distribution list) that you want them delivered to. You won't have to worry about them changing again.
