Default Connect Zimbra iCal without password ?

Hello,

Here is what I asked at the wrong place (http://www.zimbra.com/forums/apple-i...html#post63192). I think my question shall be rather in this Administrators forum :

Zimbra user1 need to connect Zimbra user2 calendar with iCal.
I can't user "Mount a shared calendar" function, because I ma not able to tell that shared calendar is "busy" for user1. So I have to use iCal function as a workaround.
(Unless someone know how I can connect a shared calendar and specify it as busy, but I read it is not possible).

So :
- user2 share "calendar_name" to user1
- user1 can connect this calendar with iCal URL : http://user1:password@mail.domain.co...endar_name.ics
=> That is OK.

My question : Is there a way not to use password in iCal URL, as user1 is already connected with its username/password ?
(I d'ont want to share the calendar to all public, but only to some users)

I read this in Zimbra Wiki :
"If you are linking your Zimbra calendar to a remote Zimbra calendar where the users share the same LDAP server, you can simply share to their email address, and it should work."

=> Is it possible for "iCal connection" or only for "mount shared calendar" function ?
If possible with iCal, which URL should I use ?

I tried these one, but it doesn't work :
Code:
http://user1@mail.domain.com/service/home/user2/calendar_name?fmt=ics
http://user1@mail.domain.com/service/home/user2/calendar_name.ics
http://user1@mail.domain.com/service/home/user2/calendar_name
http://mail.domain.com/service/home/user2/calendar_name?fmt=ics
http://mail.domain.com/service/home/user2/calendar_name.ics
http://mail.domain.com/service/home/user2/calendar_name
Thanks

Thanks for your response.

I tried with the suggested URL :
https://zimbra/home/companycalendar/calendar.ics
replacing :
- "zimbra" with the server name
- "companycalendar" with the calendar owner
- "calendar" with the shared calendar folder name

but it still doesn't work : "L'URL suivante n'est disponible actuellement : https://192.168.1.105/home/toto_p/Planning.ics"

I see that you are using "zcs-NETWORK-5.0 RC1" => Do you know if that sould work also in 4.5.8 version ?

How did you define grants on the folder ?
Personnaly, I shared to a given user, with readonly rights.

When I share to "public", this URL works, but only in http (not in https). But when I share to the user only, it doesn't work (neither with http, nor with https).

Am I missing something ?

Thanks in advance.

This is actually connecting to a 4.5.6 server. It is granted full public view rights. Without that, you're going to need some sort of authentication. If you want to do this without a password, you're going to need to give out general public access. If you share to a user, then they're going to need the L/P to access it.

My server is running HTTPS only mode. I'm using this link for phpicalendar on our internal website.

OK, that's clear.
I was just hoping that once a user authified through Zimbra Web interface, login/password for iCal access could be avoided, thanks to a sort of internal automatic authentication.

It is a bit annoying as when the user will change his Zimbra password, he will have to change all his ical URL.
Maybe it will be improved in the future...

Thanks again for your help.
