daemon: getaddrinfo() failed: Name or service not known ?

I have Zimbra 4.5.8 OSS on CentOS 4.5. It was working well in production until I started getting the error


daemon: getaddrinfo() failed: Name or service not known

Whenever I tried to start up Zimbra. Any thoughts as to where I should go from here ?

What os are you using?

Also, what does your hosts file look like?

OS is CentOS 4.5, Hosts file is:

# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail.
127.0.0.1               localhost.localdomain localhost

myipaddy          mail1.mydomain.com

Try adding your hostname after your FQDN, for example:

10.10.3.1 mail.domain.com mail
