Delete emails in 1 folder older than a certain date?

i have a spam box, spam@mydomain.com and filters that makes every email that hits it go to the junk folder. and its accumulated 16000 emails over the last week.

Is there a quick way to delette any email older than a certain date from that folder? Automatically or manually i dont care. I know i could simply remove the messages in the store folder older than a certain date, but i was worried that might mess up something.

How we can do this on zimbra >= 5.0 ?
