Default Zimbra 5.0 mta fails to start on update.

Using zcs-5.0.0_BETA3_1276.RHEL5_64.20070822122306 on Cent OS 5.

After updating the system to the beta the startup script hangs at "Starting mta:" (I can get past this by doing ctl+break.)

After digging through the logs I don't notice anything really alarming but the postmap process is at 100%

    Is this a known issue?

    Default

    strace -p 5742
    Code:
    open("/opt/zimbra/conf/__db.postfix_header_checks.db", O_RDWR|O_CREAT|O_EXCL, 0644) = -1 EEXIST (File exists)
stat("/opt/zimbra/conf/postfix_header_checks.db", 0x7fffca068fd0) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
    open("/opt/zimbra/conf/__db.postfix_header_checks.db", O_RDWR|O_CREAT|O_EXCL, 0644) = -1 EEXIST (File exists)
    open("/opt/zimbra/conf/__db.postfix_header_checks.db", O_RDWR|O_CREAT|O_EXCL, 0644) = -1 EEXIST (File exists)
    open("/opt/zimbra/conf/__db.postfix_header_checks.db", O_RDWR|O_CREAT|O_EXCL, 0644) = -1 EEXIST (File exists)
stat("/opt/zimbra/conf/postfix_header_checks.db", 0x7fffca068fd0) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
    So I did

    cp /opt/zimbra/conf/__db.postfix_header_checks.db /opt/zimbra/conf/postfix_header_checks.db

    To that I got

postmap: warning: removing zero-length database file: /opt/zimbra/conf/postfix_header_checks.db

..and the thing stated to loop again.

This is a nasty error, no error message at all and will prevent a normal bootup as it halts the init script.

This isn't a startup problem specifically, had you made any modifications to your Zimbra setup before the upgrade? Is there a file called postfix_header_checks.in in the conf directory? If there isn't I'd suggest your upgrade didn't go too well, you should check the upgrade logs. You did take a backup before doing the upgrade, didn't you?

    I just fixed it.

I went into the GUI and set extensions to block (none were set) then upon shutting down and restarting the MTA it came back up.

I'm kinda puzzled about what caused the error though..

I don't believe any great modification were made but it has been running for around 6 months or better. The only thing off hand that I had to do to postfix was setup a smarthost that requires a password.

I've not seen that before, could you file an entry in bugzilla for this problem? Also check the upgrade logs to see if anything did hiccup.
