upgraded to 4.5.7.

logs are still showing "timeout after DATA" and send emails are being bounced with a 421 error. stupid part is spam is getting through.

i am at a loss.

if i can't fix this in the next few hours i will lose this customer and they will NOT upgrade to the network edition.

Are you at liberty to move it back to it's prior location for a bit? ie: To see if it's a net thing, and wasn't the act of rebooting with a new setting (remember some things don't apply till restart).

(went from router ->gigabyte switch -> 10 /100 switch to router -> gigabyte switch)
after searching the net for "timeout after data" everything pointed to MTU settings.... well i changed the link speed on the network card and restarted... guess what emails started to appear.... (in the inboxes)

so outgoing issues now? from=<jeff@example.com> to=<jvella@remote.com> & you wrote emails 'started to appear' (assuming that meant incoming mail goes into mailboxes just fine)

could you post a new /var/log/zimbra.log? (might as well post the matching /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log with it)
dns issues & lookups...

incoming mail problem: just want to confirm-your not getting any more returned mail when you test from the outside?

it appears problem solved. mtu packet size is different between 10/100 and 10/100/1000. i don't really belive that but it is now working.

deferred outgoing were due to dns lookups being turned off.

Thanks for all you help!!!!
