Default Corrupted Mailbox

FYI; I'm currently having this problem .. restarting Zimbra does start a reindex, which lasts about 2 minutes then dies ...

I'm left with 2.5G of unaccessible email so far .. still debugging ..

Default Still corrupted ...

Ok,

I've improved things by removing a couple of items from the database and filesystem. (by hand) But the reindex process is now looping part way through.

It appears that there are many items that the indexer can't index, and the odd one or two that force it to die and restart.

Examples;
2006-07-23 15:28:30,877 WARN [PostStartupCrashRecovery] [] extensions - exception while uudecoding message part; skipping part
java.io.UnsupportedEncodingException: unknown-8bit

2006-07-23 15:29:12,658 WARN [PostStartupCrashRecovery] [] extensions - exception while uudecoding message part; skipping part
java.io.UnsupportedEncodingException: X-UNKNOWN

2006-07-23 15:29:29,922 WARN [PostStartupCrashRecovery] [] ParsedMessage - Parse error on MIME part 1 (text/plain, Message-ID: <BAY3-DAV24T2NqFJ3sl00017142@hotmail.com>)
com.zimbra.cs.mime.MimeHandlerException: Error in encoded stream: needed 4 valid base64 characters but only got 2 before EOF, the 10 most recent characters were: "ers.html\r\n"

Anyone got any ideas why I'm seeing all this ?
(lots of bugs in the storage engine?)

Any idea how to make the indexer continue after a "fatal" event ?

Exclamation Solved

Solution;

1. Find offending mail item
2. Delete from store and from mysql
3. Restart machine

Problem;
com.zimbra.cs.service.ServiceException: system failure: missing blob for id: 173411, change: 151673

com.zimbra.cs.service.ServiceException: system failure: missing blob for id: 2156, change: 1721

I had two of these problem emails, I guess the problem was caused by the imapsync import

Default

I'm having the same missing blob issue, so I followed the steps to re-index. The only problem is that Zimbra is now tripping on the light fandango I couldn't see zimbra do any indexing either

Attached is how the AdminUI looks, and it doesn't prompt me to log in either!

Default Same Problem

I'm having the same problem, an IMAP users mailbox froze during re-indexing and is now un-accessable. I deleted the idex folder manually following the above instructions and it reindexed on starting zimbra, but I still can't get in. Is there a processes on the machine that has it locked? Should I restart the whole system? Any ideas?
