    Default Many Domains

    Hi guys, i got a question about zimbra open source, i l¡know that i can create multiple domains on my server right but how can i relate them in a dns server if i only have one public IP for my server wich resolves my main domain? or this other domains are only for internal lan use? thanks any help

    It depends what you're trying to do. If you want multiple MX records for the other domains pointing to your Zimbra server then set them up in your public DNS server, it's no problem.

    Hi man, so i'm kinda lost in here, i just try to see the logic in this, as far as i know you can only have one dns name for one ip address rigth? so if i have a domain called domain1.com and it resolves 1.2.3.4 i can resolve for domain2.com the same address 1.2.3.4? just adding it to my dns server? it's posible?

    No, you can have as many domain names (I assume that's what you are calling a DNS name?) as you like pointing to a single IP address. If you want multiple domains to be used on your Zimbra server just point additional MX records for those domains to that server.

    Thanks phoenix i got it clear now, it sees blury when i thougt that i just have one address for each domain, but now i'm clear about it, i'm gonna do some tests and i hope everything works, thanks again

    The confusion probably comes from the fact that one ssl certificate = one IP address and if you have multiple DNS names to that IP address you will wind up with an SSL error.
