    Default List users by COS

Is there any way to list which users are assigned to which COS? Ideally I'd like to be able to see a "members" tab under each COS in that section of the UI. If there isn't another obvious answer I'll file a request on bugzilla, but figured I'd ask you all first. . .

    TIA,

    Dan

Get that a lot-one method would be:

    su zimbra

First get the cos id that you want:
    zmprov gac -v | grep -e cn: -e zimbraId
    or zmprov gc COSname

Then get all accounts with that COS:
    zmprov gaa -v | grep -e uid: -e zimbraCOSId | grep -B1 putzimbraCOSidStringHERE | grep uid: | awk '{print $2}'

(viewing-most likely in columns) Bug 18779 - Sorting User Accounts by COS.
(command line viewing) Bug 16185 - RFE: Get all COS users
(gui) Bug 3373 - bulk move of users from one COS to another

the advanced search builder should probably have this & some viewing stuff done for v5 should help as well (It really just should have been it's own sortable column in the accounts list a long time ago...)
though it doesn't help your need for by cos, 'zmaccts' is also a quick handy command

I know I'm probably going overboard here, but an ideal scenario would allow me, from either the COS page or the user administration page, to drag & drop a stack of users into the desired COS. I'm guessing that's more than just having them list. . .and even listing is a good first step.

When you say "eventually" Mike, do you mean "When 5.0 hits general release," or is it further down the pike in the 5.0 timeline?

    Thanks as always,

    Dan

Add your comments about a graphical tool in the admin console to Bug 3373 - bulk move of users from one COS to another

Comments added to the bugs. Thanks. I don't know if you mark a thread solved when all that happens is a feature request in bugzilla, but if so, then this one qualifies.

Hmm.. The above works except for those that are in the default COS...

Wonder if there's a way to do this via ldap otherwise ?

Smile Hello Dan, Mike and su_A_ve

I don't think the latest ZCS 6.0.7 is set with this feature. And admin GUI option to get all users under a COS setting would be very useful.

Thanks Mike for a solution there.

This look like a really useful feature. Is it available yet in the latest version 8? It looks like Zimbra is not committing to it.
