[SOLVED] mail identities and from address

hi all,

i have just upgraded to 4.5.6 and i now have a problem with mail identities. it seems they used to change the from address to match the identity but now it only changes the "name" portion of the address.

for example, i am a member on some lists where i signed up with an extension address: pta-LIST@domain.com. these lists also require that posts come from members of the list so the list manager is checking the from address. this used to work but now it seems that mail from my identites is of the form "identity name" <pta@domain.com>. i need it to be pta-LIST@domain.com.

anyone else run into this and know of a fix?

sorry to bother everyone. i got this fixed. i had marked the "allow user to send from any address" in the admin but it didn't take until i logged out of and back into my mail account.
