Default Returning messages in Deferred Queue

Simple question:

Every once in a while my users make a mistake in addressing a message, usually spelling related, and the message gets bounced. Other mail systems send this message back to the user, But Zimbra holds it. While I like this feature, as it allows me to see problems and correct them before people come to me with them, I am wondering if there is any way to return messages to the originating user from the queue, short of sending them a email saying they messed up.

Thanks for your help!

I have looked threw the Forums and documentation and find no mention of this. Please confirm that this is simply not possible; and if so, perhaps an Idea for a feature in another release?

Bump, as well.

What version are you running? It should bounce right away. . unless the domain is incorrect. .

I am using Version 4.5, (so probably 4.5.6, I would have to go to CL to check) This box was installed and downloaded 2 weeks ago. It was sent to a incorrect domain, yes. They mis-spelled the domain name, and in another case mis-spelled the user name. Both instances wound up in the 'deferred' box in the queue. I sent the users messages informing them of there mistakes and simply deleted the messages from the queue. They received no bounce, so a 'return to user' option would have been handy.

Check your server config. It's probably because the domain changed or something.

take a look at zmlocalconfig and postconf and see if there's any of the "old" domain in there.
