Default hidden protected "Inbox" (due to legal reasons)

Hello,

due to legal reasons, we would like to protect the mails
in the "Inbox" or even better to have a second "Inbox" but
completly hidden from the normal user.

What would be the bettest approach to configure such an
"protected/hidden" inbox?

Any tips - probably there are much better approaches around -
are appreciated very much. Thank you!

John

Default Reasons?

This is a bit of a strange request - if you tell us what you're hoping to accomplish, we may be better able to get this set up. Is it simply a matter of keeping a copy of all the email the user receives?

Yes it's more or less a matter of keeping a copy of all the email we
receive.

So we figured out the problem could be solved, if all incomming
mails are automatically copied to a "delete-protected inbox".
The normal "mail-dispatcher/user" should not be able to delete
those mails.

Default Solution

We don't support that as a hidden folder - but if you create
hidden_user@domain.com as a shadow account for user@domain.com, and set a forward on the users account:

zmprov ma user@domain.com zimbraMailForwardingAddress hidden_user@domain.com

You'll end up with all the incoming email in another account, to which the user won't have access.
