    Default segfault installing mailbox server

during installation of a mailbox server i got this error:
    Updating ldap_root_password and zimbra_ldap_passwd...sh: line 1: 29433 Segmentation fault su - zimbra -c "/opt/zimbra/bin/zmlocalconfig -f -e ldap_root_password='******'" >>/tmp/zmsetup.log.26464 2>&1

now store and mta service do not start
the worst, the new server does appear in the server list of admin gui of master ldap server and i am unable to remove it before to scratch everything on mailbox server to reinstall it

Have you followed the 'How To' for installing on CentOS5 in these forums? Is your hosts file, DNS A & MX records correct? Are all the correct Libraries installed? Just out of interest, which release of CentOS are you using and is it up to date?

BTW, you do realise that you're running Zimbra NE on an unsupported operating system don't you?
    Regards

yeah, dns and mx are fine, correct libraries are in place; i am using Centos5, but it's not updated.
I have started to install but at the moment to have ldap root pwd i realized that i have not it. I quitted installation and i resume it after i got master server ldap root password.
With correct password it do not stopped asking to "correct ldap configuration".
I fear that quitting installation and resuming it might be the reason.
    Now, i would issue
    ./install.sh -u
but i am sure that when reinstalling , it will try to insert server on master, but in master ldap this server is already in place
is there some utility to wipe these other server form ldap?

Yes, i know, but we have all our installation on Centos.
I will try ubuntu 6 that is a supported one.
    TIA!
