    Have a look at 'zmprov help commands' it will give you the details you need.

    Default zmprov

    I looked at the zmprov..
    Hard to figure out how to use it...
    It must be because I suck with commands.

    Is there a few sample you can type in for me so i can try.

    Thanks

    It's really not that difficult, try a few and see what happens. How about:
    Code:
    getAllAccounts(gaa) [-v] [{domain}

    Default I did that one.. .. but

    1) Ok.. i got a list of accounts.... that i did easily but i want to be able to save the accounts in a file and later be able to copy them back or import them back with their username and passwords all intact. by typing "zmprov help list" I see a deleted, get and modify distribution list but no "save" list. The reason i want to save this list with username and password is last time i try to reinstall zimbra and it prompt me if i want to save the useraccount list.. I said yes but the zimbra installation failed.. I think it is because we are using port :8080 while the install is set for port 80. This is why i want to be able to have the list of username and password so I can put it back instead of typing 60 accounts one by one and have everyone's password reset.

    2) Another problem is that I tried this command... getDistributionList (gdl) {list@domain|id}
    I don't know what to type for the word list? and what is id? the instructions don't tell me what to type. I assume ID is username but it did not work.

    is this how i type it????????? give me a real example
    gdl list@yahoo.com|tim or
    gdl admin@yahoo.com|admin ????

    the instructions is not specific what i should type for list and id? I have tried many and it return me nothing..

    You can only backup usernames and not passwords. Just do output redirection with the command ">/tmp/usernames". Restoration will require simple shell scripting. This would depend on your strategy (that is, what options you want to provide to "zmprov ca").

    The "|" sign is a standard "OR" notation. Did you look at Zmprov - ZimbraWiki ? The page contains a few examples. You may also want to look at some other examples here: Zmprov Examples - ZimbraWiki
