Question [SOLVED] Block outside people sending mails to a distribution group!

Hi everbody, :-)

I'm new to zimbra administration. We have deployed zimbra with "zcs-4.0.4_GA_457.FC4.tgz" on fedora core 4. It's running pretty fine & I feel cool about it. :-)

Now I have probelm with SPAMS. It's much controlled but still some or otherway it enters into.

I wanted to know is there any way that we can block/restrict out side people(people other than my domain users in zimbra) sending mails to my distribution groups (internel) ??

My requirment is like this -

My Domain is "xyz.com"
I have a distribution group there in zimbra called "managers@xyz.com"

Everybody from "xyz.com" (that is abc@xyz.com, abc1@xyz.com, abc2@xyz.com, etc,etc )should be able to send mails to the distibution group "managers@xyz.com". But I want to block all other domain(outside world) sending mails to this distribution group. Possible?

Any help would really be appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Best Regards
-Vivek

Welcome to the forums.

This article from the wiki should do what you want.

You can also reject messages that are being sent to unlisted (or invalid) users. Do the following: have a look in /opt/zimbra/conf/zmmta.cf and change that entry for 'smtpd_reject_unlisted_recipient' to yes then save the file. You should restart postfix or the server and that will reject the connections. You'll need to make that change after every upgrade as it isn't preserved. Also try one of those changes at a time and see how they work for you before you do the next one.

And I want role like this
