Default Configuring pam_ldap and nss_ldap in Centos 5

i am installing everything following
UNIX and Windows Accounts in Zimbra LDAP and Zimbra Admin UI - ZimbraWiki

i have added something to it where necessary, too

no i am stucked on Part 4: Configuring pam_ldap and nss_ldap

i am installing onto Centos5: should i jump to Configuring on RHEL5/CentOS5/Fedora7 using authconfig

without manually editing:
/etc/libnss-ldap.conf
/etc/pam_ldap.conf
/etc/libnss-ldap.secret
/etc/pam_ldap.secret
/etc/nsswitch.conf
/etc/pam.d/common-account
/etc/pam.d/common-auth
/etc/pam.d/common-password
/etc/pam.d/common-session

or should do everithing and then what is in Configuring on RHEL5/CentOS5/Fedora7 using authconfig??
TIA

Default other issue: sam acounts not created

i was able to add successfully a host to domain;
i created a new account to allow user to logon in freshly added pc to domain, but samba password is not created:
log.pc: init_sam_from_ldap: Entry found for user: greg
log.pc: ntlm_password_check: NO NT password stored for user greg.
