Hello,
I got a problem with my zimbra installation. The system works fine but I have a minor problem I just recentlry encountered since I tend to use the webclient almost exclusively.
When I try to send a mail using a client like thunderbird and smtp I always get a password wrong reply.
The log then says: postfix/smtpd[21924]: warning: SASL authentication problem: unable to open Berkeley db /etc/sasldb2: Permission denied
I already gave the postfix user the rights to read that file. I did not expect it to solve the problem but I gave it a try anyway.
Resulting in the following:
km20932-04 postfix/smtpd[22286]: warning: SASL authentication failure: no secret in database
km20932-04 postfix/smtpd[22286]: warning: SASL authentication failure: Password verification failed
This is pretty obvious since I did not expect the mail users password to be in /etc/sasldb2...
But I wonder why does SASL try to look in that file and not ask the ldap server?
And of course my actual question is, what do I have to change to make the sasl auth work?
