Default User UI not working, Admin UI works

hi,

https://zimbrahost gives connection reset and
apache log shows status HTTP/1.1 302 206

but https://zimbrahost:7071 admin ui works without a problem.

No specific errors in logfiles, and tomcat seems working fine because
all the other services, imap, pop are working just fine.

all service status are ok, but webinterface not working

antispam: Running
antivirus: Running
ldap: Running
logger: Running
mailbox: Running
mta: Running
snmp: Running
spell: Running

has anyone encountered same problems and is there somekind a solution
because i'm out of ideas and users are pretty pissed already because the service has been down for a week now.

EDIT:

http://mydomain.com redirects to https://mydomadin.com and still the same connection reset occures

if it would be a tomcat issue then the admin interface wouldnt work to,

problems started after a system reboot, but nothing seems to be broken or corrupted

Have you changed the mode that you use to connect to ZImbra? Have you tried http://yourdomain.com (n.b not https://) and does it work?

How are you 'redirecting'? Who said it was a tomcat issue? Have you changed the mode that Zimbra operates fro http to https?

i thought first of tomcat issue because it took quite a while to start up after
restarting tomcat, but it starts without errors ( only warning about log4j system
log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (org.apache.catalina.session.ManagerBase).
log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.)

<Directory /var/www/>
Redirect / https://zimbradomain.com/
Options
</Directory>

found from apache configuration

You're still not answering this question.

Then it's never likely to work, is it?

I assume you're doing this because you have an already installed Apache on port 80? Perhaps you should read this article in the wiki or this one.
