According to 'zmcontrol status'

But in the Admin UI it has an " X " and says its not running. Any thoughts?

Is that Bug 17428 - admin console: message when stats are not yet available ?

I don't believe so as this is referring to ZCS_5.0beta2 and the stats service is new, well at least it is for OSS.

I've got the same issue here. CentOS 5. Let me know if there are any other details I can provide to help.

No, the stats isn't new to the OSS version. Can you file this in bugzilla (check first to see if there's already an entry).
