Default Outlook connector - deactivate ZDB for mail but keep calendar and address book

I read many thread about outlook connector and I made some test. It seems to me that the outlook connector create a copy of mail in a Zdb file. Which is stupid if we don't need off line mailbox access.

I want to know if it is possible to read mail with imap protocol and get address book and calendar through outlook connector ?

No, it's not stupid. If you want to update your address book and calendar then that's what you need.

Yes, you can get your email via IMAP and no, you won't be able to update your address book or calendar.
