Default /opt/zimbra/amavisd/tmp RAM Disk Sizing and > 4GB on x86 Server

If I follow the recommendations in Ralf Hildebrandt's "The Book of Postfix" for setting up a RAM disk to be used by amavisd (or see Ralf Hildebrandt: /postfix/amavisd_tmpfs.shtml for the article that became the content in the book), I get a suggested RAM disk size of about 2.5GB. (We allow 100MB emails and Zimbra has 10 amavisd instances set on our installation.)

Since 32-bit SuSE Enterprise Server supports more than 4GB RAM, why couldn't we just add another 2.5 GB or so to the box and then implement Ralf's suggestions?

Anyone have experience with similarly large RAM disks for amavis?

Comments please!

All the best,
Mark
