Default "Full" Salesforce integration?

Hi all,

Before I start - yes, I'm aware of the Salesforce zimlet, and we are currently using it - works fairly well so far.

However one user had a query. If you look in the Salesforce demo video - you will see what seems to be integration of the Zimbra interface into a Salesforce tab at the 01:23 mark. The demostrator clicks on a SF tab, & gets a list of emails from the Zimbra server, or something like that.

How is this achieved? How can I do this with our Zimbra server?

I've tried phoning Maccius who supposedly provides the official "Salesforce integration" package for Zimbra (according to http://www.zimbra.com/salesforce/ for further information. Answerphone. Emailed - nothing. Not very impressed TBH.

Thoughts? TIA!

I had a brief email exchange with a Zimbra employee who told me that the SF tab "product" was just a demo, and as yet, there's no real date for an actual product *sighs*

I did get the impression that this could be possible by leveraging the SF API & Zimbra's SOAP(? Is there any other way of accessing the API in Zimbra?).

I've dabbled a bit in the Salesforce API, but never the Zimbra API...

Thoughts please?

TIA!
