    Unhappy 554 Relay Access Denied

    Hey guys,

    I'm running CentOS 4.4 with Zimbra Release 4.5.3_GA_733.RHEL4_20070228110021 CentOS4 FOSS edition.

    I know you've heard this for many times but I think I read every thread in this forum and I still keep getting this error.
    Jul 9 09:51:53 zmail postfix/smtpd[29457]: connect from kiwidsl.bb.netvision.net.il[212.143.91.176]
    Jul 9 09:51:54 zmail postfix/smtpd[29457]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from kiwidsl.bb.netvision.net.il[212.143.91.176]: 554 <eran@gmail.com>: Relay access denied; from=<eran@halperin1.co.il> to=<eran@gmail.com> proto=SMTP helo=<faina>
    Jul 9 09:51:57 zmail postfix/smtpd[29457]: disconnect from kiwidsl.bb.netvision.net.il[212.143.91.176]
    I have SMTP auth turned on in outlook
    and I have disabled TLS.

    but while generating zmcreatecert I get:

    Getting CA Private Key
    unable to write 'random state'
    Please help,

    thanks!

    It's already configured right
    [zimbra@zmail ~]$ postconf mynetworks
    mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8 192.168.100.66/24
    [zimbra@zmail ~]$
    I dont need to relay it anywhere

    users are connecting with pop3/smtp and trying to send emails.
    they're trying to authenticate with the servre but they get relay access denied

    could you explain it little bit more?

    No, it isn't. You have
    Code:
    mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8 192.168.100.66/24
    and it should be
    Code:
    mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8 192.168.100.0/24
    to allow other machines on your LAN to send mail.
    Regards

    Bill

    Currently, I am specifying individual addresses as opposed to ranges and that seems to work.

    zimbra@mail ~]$ postconf mynetworks
    mynetworks = 127.0.0.1 192.168.1.2 192.168.1.3

    This is a different IP range to the one you posted earlier:
    Code:
    mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8 192.168.100.0/24
    What is the correct subnet for your LAN?
    Regards

    Duh, I'm glad somebody is awake round here - oops.

    I suppose what I should have asked is why he's using single IPs rather than the subnet?
    Regards
