554 Relay Access Denied

Hey guys,

I'm running CentOS 4.4 with Zimbra Release 4.5.3_GA_733.RHEL4_20070228110021 CentOS4 FOSS edition.

I know you've heard this for many times but I think I read every thread in this forum and I still keep getting this error.

I have SMTP auth turned on in outlook
and I have disabled TLS.

but while generating zmcreatecert I get:

I dont need to relay it anywhere

users are connecting with pop3/smtp and trying to send emails.
they're trying to authenticate with the servre but they get relay access denied

could you explain it little bit more?

this was the wrong post.

the current configuration is:

[zimbra@zmail ~]$ postconf mynetworks
mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8 192.168.100.0/24
[zimbra@zmail ~]$

and still having the same problem.

anyone ?

I read the article but no success.

Currently, I am specifying individual addresses as opposed to ranges and that seems to work.

zimbra@mail ~]$ postconf mynetworks
mynetworks = 127.0.0.1 192.168.1.2 192.168.1.3

I suppose what I should have asked is why he's using single IPs rather than the subnet?
