 ical vs webcal
If I understand correctly, ical format is just a file that you can download with the latest calendar updates. Evolution supports this by downloading the file to your hard disk, and then selecting File->Import. To get auto-syncing working with Evolution, somehow Zimbra would have to work with WebDAV, which I hear developers are working on. Evolution uses the webcal format to do this, which I believe is WebDAV based. |
