 libtool
Finally got it. I think because 1, this is a fresh install, and 2. I'm not a programmer, I didn't have a lot of the dev specific tools on this laptop.
The last one I needed was libtool, that and to run make and make install as root.
The only other thing I should have know was one of my directory's had a space in it, which threw off the make and make install
Thanks again. now off to torture test it.
