Do you have selinux enabled (This should be off -not just warning mode- fully disabled)
Find it via the installed packages list, or something like /etc/sysconfig/selinux
Once you had gotten all your settings worked out (selinux off & reboot) start with a clean reinstall (follow the uninstall directions first)
If you get errors when you do so can you post your zmsetup.log.#### (some numbers will be on the end)
