A bit late One of my clients is a small company of about 20 people that was recently looking to expand the capabilities of their mail server (they had been using a basic Postfix and IMAP setup, and wanted something that could do calendaring and that their salespeople could access remotely from their smart phones).
They took a look at Zimbra, and they were impressed with the feature set, but they ended up going with something else, mainly because neither of their preferred platforms (FreeBSD and Suse 10.2) were supported. Fortunately, they've been very pleased with the Google Apps setup they settled on, but I can't help but wonder how many potential sales Zimbra loses because of the limited selection of supported platforms. |
