 Odd behavior after adding iPhone
I have a user that has a laptop connected to ZCS with the Outlook connector who called me with the following symptoms. He also has recently setup an iPhone to get mail from the server via IMAP. The behavior is that new messages show up in the mailbox and the laptop gets them as new mail. He moves them in Outlook to a folder, but the messages do not get moved on the Zimbra server even after he syncs again. After he gets them on the iPhone he will then move the messages via the Web UI to this folder, and then the laptop picks up a duplicate copy of them in Outlook in this folder.
Does the iPhone connecting via IMAP somehow mark the messages which makes them unmovable by the Outlook client? I don't understand IMAP in the most gritty details to figure this one out. Any ideas or sources of knowledge so I can educate myself would be fantastic.
PS: I've already had him try to "repair" the Outlook connector because I suspected that iTunes 7.3 broke something when it set itself up to sync the calendar/contacts for the iPhone. This didn't fix it.
