You post this throw-away line as though openSuSE 10 & openSuSE 10.2 are exactly the same distribution, they are not. There were changes between those two releases of openSuSE - but I'm sure you're already aware of that. Zimbra was built on, and for, openSuSE 10. My point in making that comment about 'unsupported' was to draw that fact to the attention of the person that I quoted, believe it or not but not every person installing Zimbra knows they've installed it on an unsupported o/s.

By all means feel free to run Zimbra on any version of Linux you choose, it is Open Source after all, and if you're successful then please share your knowledge with the rest of the community.
Hi Bill,

I agree with you that OpenSUSE 10.0 and OpenSUSE 10.2 have a big changes between those two release. My point is "I used OpenSUSE 10.2 and follow the instruction in this great tutorial without any error. Yes, I got an error about DNS resolver but after create a MX records for DNS Server, it's solve the problem". If somebody used OpenSUSE 10.2 and got an error and in another side I used a same & similar version distro without problem, maybe it's not about distro.

I'm not make any different changes with this tutorial, so if someone ask me, "What your problem in your side while installing Zimbra on OpenSUSE 10.2", the answer maybe "Just follow the instruction...". I shared my experience in my first posting.

Thanks for your response.

Regards,

Vavai
