nigelkersten:

I looked for this… thx, I saw tha tit wasn't very recommended to do it the way I did, but didn't found (search enough) your magic command : JAVA_JVM_VERSION.
And I'm a 'bidouilleur' as we would say in French.
I'm no coder (just interested in), so I'm glad you post this.

You don't need to faff around with the /Users directory in that way. Do something like this instead.
You say that because I wrote somewhere I wanted to hide the zimbra User, Am I right ? Well thx again, I don't really like to use niutil to set user with command line for instance, this is something I really like to do in system pref, but if I understand what you wrote, you don't create the user, but change its UID:GID ? And that's cool, I'll do it.
as what you suggest for JAVA_HOME stuff… I'm warned

The way you've done it will break other things that require 1.4.
. I do have some crashesz, but I'm not sure if it's linked or not, In fact it's more like sending email and clamav or spamassassin stuff I thinK. After some post I think I auto spammed myself because to 'hard test' I do send Big images or files to a mailinglist and do some reply all, etc… from Mac/Maill Mac/entourage - windows-Outlookexpress Windows thunderbird. soon after this I crash. But thinking while writing makes me says that I do have a constantly the log: "unable to look up public/pickup: No such file or directory".
and looking here: Error install on Mac OS X, you may be right ;)
I'm gonna fix that java stuff by the end of the week.

we set the java home correctly now, will show up in the next release. Also, the user creation bug is fixed […] (Should you be setting JAVA_JVM_VERSION as well if 1.5 is required?) I'm making that change right now...
Marcman and the crew are very reactive :-)
très agréable…
