Well that's certainly odd. Can you try this...it will involve doing a pretty thorough reset of the mac's sync engine. Fire up iSync.app, go to Preferences and click "Reset Sync History". Then go back to the Zimbra Preference Pane and click Sync. Let me know if any of that doesn't make sense.
